The top model Vanquish FB is light, strong and responsive. Vanquish has the very latest Shimano technology, including Magnumlite Rotor, Silent Drive and Micro Module Gear II, perfectly balanced for use with the lightest and most advanced carbon rods.
Magnumlite Rotor is a lightweight asymmetrical rotor construction in CI4 + material that provides perfect balance, minimal friction and resistance during winding. Combined with a lightweight lace guide, titanium hoop and optimal rotor thickness, the rotation resistance is reduced by 14%, a whole new level of sensitivity during winding. The rotor stiffness on the line guide side is also an important factor that affects the braking force. Magnumlite Rotor provides rigidity with up to 30% less pressure on the rotor arm at extreme braking loads.
Inside the Hagane body of magnesium, the Hagane drive combined with X-Ship, Silent Drive and Micro Module II provides smooth performance and smooth cranking. The reel is protected by X Protect to ensure that water and dirt do not penetrate important components. The spool brake is waterproof. The crank is made of carbon.
